As a person with a professional background both in and outside academia, I have always believed in the benefits of professional experience applied to research in social sciences. Such ideal has been the driving motivation of my academic career, and in my research I have developed a trans-disciplinary approach that reflects this conviction. While my background is in economics, my graduate research drew from elements of international relations, sociology and other social sciences that are a necessary part of my discipline of international political economy.
