Tommaso Bruno is a violinist, violist, and conductor. He began his music studies at the age of 7 and graduated from the Conservatory of La Spezia in 2016. He then pursued a two-year Specialization in Lucca followed by Maestro Alberto Bologni. He gained his Master's of Arts from Truman State University (Missouri, USA) and his Doctorate at Florida State University (Florida, USA) with Dr. Benjamin Sung. He performed in orchestras around Europe and the US, and played extensively solo and chamber recitals in Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Finland, the US, and more. He also has experience as an orchestra conductor, conducting concerts and an opera during his stay in the USA. He was awarded the first prize at Violin competitions in Italy (Genoa, Viareggio, Livorno) and the USA (Tallahassee, Florida). After having taught in schools in Italy and the US, he is now employed as Associate Professor of Art at WZBC.
